WAKLERT 150MG TABLETS contain Armodafinil, a wakefulness-promoting agent used to treat excessive daytime sleepiness associated with:
- Narcolepsy: A condition causing uncontrollable daytime sleepiness.
- Obstructive Sleep Apnea (OSA): A sleep disorder characterized by breathing difficulties due to airway obstruction during sleep.
- Shift Work Sleep Disorder (SWSD): Sleep disturbances in individuals working non-traditional hours, such as night shifts.
In cases of OSA, Armodafinil addresses the symptom of sleepiness but does not treat the underlying airway obstruction.
DIRECTIONS FOR USE
WAKLERT 150MG TABLETS work as stimulants which provide long lasting mental arousal. They inhibit the reuptake of a brain chemical called dopamine (supresses sleep), increasing its concentration in the brain. This helps in improving wakefulness in patients having sleeping disorders.
Take WAKLERT 150MG TABLETS as advised by your physician. Swallow the medicine with a glass of water. Do not crush or chew. Your doctor will decide the correct dose and duration for you depending upon your age, body weight and disease condition.

COMMON

RARE
Stop taking WAKLERT 150MG TABLETS and contact your doctor immediately if you experience any of the following side effects:
- serious allergic reaction such as skin rash, sores in mouth, hives or blistering and peeling of skin, swelling of eyes, face, lips, throat or tongue, legs, trouble swallowing, fever, shortness of breath, yellowing of the skin or whites of the eyes or dark urine
- psychiatric or mental symptoms includes depression, anxious feeling, hallucinations (seeing, hearing, sensing or feeling things that are not actually there), an extreme increased activity and talking (mania), aggressive behaviour, suicidal thoughts and other mental problems
- signs of heart problem, including abnormal heartbeat, chest pain and breathing difficulties
HOW TO MANAGE SIDE EFFECTS
Nausea:
Take this medicine with or just after meals. Stick to simple meals. Avoid eating oil rich or spicy foods. Discuss with your doctor if the symptom doesn’t improve.
Dizziness:
Lie or sit down immediately when you feel dizzy. If you’re feeling severe episode of spinning(vertigo), lie in a dark and quite place with eyes closed. Try to avoid vehicle driving. Discuss with your doctor if the symptom doesn’t improve.
Headache:
Try to take rest and don’t involve yourself in exertive activities. Rest in a quiet and dark room. Apply a pain-relieving balm on your forehead. Ask for your doctor’s advice if headache doesn’t improve.
Pregnancy
The safety of armodafinil during pregnancy is not well-established. Some studies suggest a potential increased risk of major congenital malformations with in utero exposure to armodafinil or modafinil. Therefore, it is recommended to avoid using Waklert-150 during pregnancy unless the potential benefits outweigh the risks.
Breastfeeding
